San Pedro Stamp Co. was founded in 1950 by Maurice Schwartz.

It is now in its second generation of family ownership.

Max Schwartz began working with his father in middle school. He introduced him to the world of philately and has been hooked ever since. As a dealer Max is driven to assist collectors in filling the blank spaces in their collections. For many years Max and his wife Linda did the stamp show circuit across the United States.

As of 2026 he decided to retire from the stamp show circuit and start a new venture, to reach new collectors through out the U.S. and the world.
